WHAT I'VE POSTED ABOUT IT ON X

Star Wars Episode I: Racer This is the podrace from the movie turned into a full racing game, with Watto's junkyard between races where you spend your winnings on parts. Hold the boost too long and your engines will catch fire, at least until you buy better parts.

Best and Worst Games I own: 1999 Best: Star Wars Episode I: Racer (Nintendo 64) Worst: Superman: The New Superman Adventures (Nintendo 64) 1999 had Donkey Kong 64, Syphon Filter, Final Fantasy VIII, Gran Turismo 2, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter and WWF WrestleMania 2000. Star Wars Episode I: Racer gets the spot over all of them. My brother borrowed this one from a friend of his. I took it over and played it nonstop until the kid wanted it back. It's the best Star Wars game ever made, third on my all time N64 games list ahead of Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time. Superman 64 is the worst game ever made. Nothing further needs to be said about it. Just an awful game. What are you picks for 1999?

Honest and Unpopular Reviews No. 33 Star Wars Episode I: Racer (N64) Everybody likes to talk trash about The Phantom Menace. I'm not one of them. I liked the movie. My brother borrowed this game from a friend of his. I took it over and played it nonstop until the kid wanted it back. I have it ranked third on my N64 top 10 games list. Ranked above Mario 64. Ranked above Zelda Ocarina of Time. Everyone thinks I'm joking when I say this. I'm not. Mario 64 has a camera fighting you the whole game. Ocarina is a game I rented in 1998 and thought the visuals were incredible, but the game was boring. Racer is 500 miles an hour with two engines cooking and one wall between you and a dead run, and it did that in 1999 on a cartridge. Name the racing game on that system that's better. Mario Kart 64 isn't. Diddy Kong Racing isn't. The track list is padded. Twenty five courses sounds like a lot until you're running the same canyon backwards. Twenty five years of people telling me nothing good came out of Episode I, and the whole time the best racing game on the console came out of Episode I. I rate this one a 4.5 out of 5.
