WHAT I'VE POSTED ABOUT IT ON X

2. Star Fox Adventures This is the last game Rare made for Nintendo before Microsoft bought the studio. It's better than Wind Waker and Super Mario Sunshine and it's not particularly close. I purchased this game with my GameCube in 2003 and immediately liked this Star Fox more than the N64 game.

Honest and Unpopular Reviews No. 32 Star Fox Adventures (GameCube) Every long running series has one game the fans decided doesn't count. Star Fox Adventures is that game, and it's my favorite one in the series. It shipped in September 2002 and it was the last game Rare made for a Nintendo console. Then they were sold to Microsoft and that was it. The complaint has been the same for over twenty years. It's a Zelda game with Fox McCloud swapped in place of Link. It started as Dinosaur Planet on the N64 and Miyamoto told Rare to put Star Fox in it. Both of those things are true. Neither one makes it a bad game. I bought it in 2003 with my GameCube and it still looks better than anything else on the system, minus Metroid Prime. Rare was at the top of what they could do and they knew it. People still say this one isn't a real Star Fox game. Meanwhile Nintendo has re-released Star Fox 64 so many times I've lost count. They'll sell you the same 1997 game on every system they make, and this is the one that gets treated like a mistake. Star Fox 64 is third for me. This one is above it. This is the second best game on the GameCube. Better than Zelda Wind Waker. Better than Mario Sunshine. I rate Star Fox Adventures a 4.5 out of 5.
